The Pinnacle of Quality

Before the chair is delivered to you, it will have been individually inspected, tested and personally tried by Rotai's quality control inspectors. After passing the most thorough and stringent score tests, the chair will be ready for packaging. In short, if your chair is well-cared for, you can expect many years of flawless operation. That is why our warranty period of 4 years is unrivalled.

Boring to some but very important to us!

Most buyers of massage chairs are not particularly interested in what's happening "under the covers ". However, we are so proud of the Ultimate Dual Core's quality. We would like you to know just a little more about the components and fabrics we use and, importantly, the expected lifespan of your investment.

Motors.

Unlike the motors generally used in cheaper massage chairs, Rotai only uses those of an industrial, commercial grade. All motors have what is known as a Mean Time Failure Rate (MTFR). As you might expect, cheap products will be fitted with cheap motors with a low MTFR.

The motors used in more expensive massage chairs often have FR ratings of 150–250 hours. However, the MTFR ratings of the motors used in the Rotai Ultimate are generally 10,000+ hours. We hope that this might explain just one of the reasons that we can offer such a strong warranty on this remarkable chair.

Air Compressors.

The air pumps are one of the most critical parts of the Rotai Ultimate. Their function is constantly filling up and emptying the 72 internal and external airbags. These airbags are responsible for getting the blood circulating around your body during the massage. They are responsible for controlling the squeezing motion of the massage chair. With many "entry-level" massage chairs, these air pumps become weak and noisy and often fail within the first year. The pumps used in the RT8900 simply cannot be bettered and have been designed to ensure many thousands of trouble-free hours of use.

The pump used in the Rotai Ultimate is the quietest of any massage chair. The cheaper the pump, the louder the noise they make. From just 2 metres away, you can expect an average of 45 dB. So how loud is 45 dB? It's hard to give you an entirely accurate description, but, by way of an example, a relatively quiet air-conditioning unit will be considered somewhere within the 50/55 dB range. 40 dB would be regarded as the same as a quiet library. We know you'll agree that it is pretty much "whisper quiet" By far, it's the quietest massage chair available.

The Fabric.

The vast majority of massage chairs, whether cheap or high-end, use PU (Polyurethane) Synthetic "leather" rather than natural cowhide. While this may initially be thought of as "cost-cutting", nothing is beyond the actuality. Firstly, there are many different grades of PU "leather" and, as can be expected, the cheaper the chair, the more inferior quality of PU will be used. Genuine leather will simple not stand up to the constant rubbing motion of the massage chair rollers beneath the surface. Another consideration is because the RT8900 has unique graphene heaters, both in the back of the chair and the section where your calves rest, the leather would dry out if it were manufactured in cowhide. There is not another massage chair in existence that can claim to have a longer lifespan than the RT8900, and you may be surprised to learn of the testing procedures that ensure the longevity of Ultimate Dual Core.

The factory conducts what is called a "torsion resistance test" on all the materials used in the chair. This specialised machine folds materials backwards and forwards for hours to gauge how long it will take until the material damages to calculate the likely time it will take for the material to fray or break. With the RT8900, every batch of new material is tested within our strict quality control procedures.

Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)

Finally, the cheapest massage chairs have a habit of overheating. This will not happen with the RT8900, which has heating sensors that automatically cancel the operation and turn the power off in the unlikely event that it recognises any heating malfunction.

Shipping and Packaging

However excellent the quality, anything with moving parts always runs the inevitable risk of failing at some point. However, we find that the primary cause of the vast majority of short/medium-term mechanical problems actually occurs during delivery because the chairs, whether cheap or expensive, are poorly packed. It is a scarce instance where a Rotai Ultimate RT8900 arrives damaged. The boxes are custom-made, and the package itself weighs 30kg. These bespoke boxes ensure that no movement can occur with the chair during delivery, and it is exceptionally well-protected. However, if a shipper decides to drop the massage chair from a great height, don’t fret because the chair is insured at our expense until it is safely delivered to your home/business in perfect condition.
